Congregate Meals
Have Lunch at our Senior Centers
Our Congregate Meal sites offer a great opportunity for seniors to get out of the house, meet new people, and enjoy a well balanced meal. Seniors age 60 and older, who are registered in the Congregate Meals Program may pay on a donation basis. Guests aged 59 and under, take-out meals, and seniors not registered in the Congregate Meals Program pay full price.
Lunch is served, daily between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
Socialize and have lunch at Heritage Place, in Burgaw, and at the Topsail Senior Center, in Hampstead. Some clients may desire transportation to and from the Congregate Meals Program.
While at Heritage Place or Topsail Senior Center, be sure to check our scheduled activities and events. Many of our programs are conveniently scheduled for participation prior to lunch, or in the afternoon immediately following the Congregate Meals Program.
Join our Seniors!
The general public is welcome to join our seniors for lunch at Heritage Place on a drop-in basis. Seniors age 60 and older are required to be enrolled in our nutrition program or pay the regular price for meals. Visitors and guests pay the regular price for meals.
Take-Out Meals are available at Heritage Place in Burgaw. The regular price is charged for all To-Go Orders. Please call ahead or stop by for pick-up between 12:00 and 1:00.
Nutrition Services
Proper nutrition and a well-balanced diet are necessities of life. For those who are homebound and unable to prepare their own meals, we offer the Meals on Wheels Home Delivered Meals program throughout the county. For those individuals interested in socialization and participating in various activities, we offer Group Meals at both of our senior centers.
